CORRUPTION IS A NIGERIAN

This country is a can of worms. It is full of repulsive sights of the unmentionable. Given the statistical details released by the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics, It is not hyperbolic concluding that corruption is a Nigerian.

Bribery and corruption is a virus that has eaten deeply into the fabrics of this nation. It is an incontrovertible truism that Nigeria stands on the tripartite of mediocrity, impunity and corruption. Ours is a country that is irretrievably dysfunctional with the cardinal characteristics as a silo of corruption.

Markedly, the civil servants and the amoral middle class are the foremost destroyers of Nigeria. The duo have been keenly working alongside their cousin- the politicians, to bring this nation to its knees. Thus, for every looting committed by a politician, it has the handiwork of a public servant beneath it.

Procedurally, politicians cannot initiate transactions on behalf of the government and complete them without public servants. No stealing or conversion can take place without their active connivance.

Ultimately, we are the problem of this nation. Both the givers and the receivers of bribes are criminal.
